The timeline continues to raise serious questions. Records show that Aqua Services and the City of Trinidad were aware of water-related violations before my arrest. Yet instead of focusing on resolving those issues, efforts were made to pursue criminal charges against me after I began reporting on the city's water problems. Since then, I've uncovered TCEQ documents showing certified violation notices were mailed to the Mayor of Trinidad and signed for by City Administrator Cynthia Dosier. According to the mayor, he did not receive those letters. That raises an important question: Why were state violation notices addressed to the mayor not provided to him so the city could begin addressing the problems before additional violations and fines occurred?

Susan Carver, who had recently been appointed as Trinidad's Municipal Judge, has resigned from the position. According to Council Member Steven Strearman, Carver was sworn in by City Administrator Cynthia Dosier without the mayor or city council's knowledge or approval, raising concerns about the appointment process. Carver also serves as the City Secretary and Municipal Judge for Brownsboro.
